The Team
Rex Nwakamma - MediaSphere Africa Chairman / Founder and CEO of Sage Alive and Film Merge
Rex Nwakamma is a media executive, technology consultant, filmmaker, and global missionary based in Texas, whose work bridges faith, media, technology, strategy, and social impact. He is the CEO of SageAlive Group and FilmMerge, leading multidisciplinary work across media, artificial intelligence, IT, healthcare, strategic development, and film distribution, with experience serving clients including The Chosen, the U.S. Government, Coca-Cola, and other global institutions. A seasoned faith- and family-based filmmaker, Rex serves as Festival Director of the MZIAIF International Christian Film Festival (ICFF) and holds leadership and board roles across several faith-based and nonprofit organizations. He has produced and directed numerous films and contributed extensively to media training, consulting, technology deployment, and capacity building for churches and organizations. Beyond media, he co-founded The Destiny Global Foundation, supporting vulnerable families and advancing access to care, education, and knowledge.
At MediaSphere Africa, Rex brings a unique combination of strategic leadership, technology and AI expertise, filmmaking, global media relationships, content distribution, organizational development, and cross-cultural collaboration. His vision is centered on helping build MediaSphere Africa into a sustainable, continent-wide ecosystem with strong regional representation, multilingual engagement, strategic partnerships, and meaningful connections between African creatives and the global media industry. Through his leadership at SageAlive Group and FilmMerge, and his experience connecting faith, technology, storytelling, and international networks, he brings a strong commitment to creating bridges that empower existing African film and media organizations, expand opportunities for filmmakers and storytellers, and position authentic African faith- and family-centered content for greater visibility, distribution, and global impact.
Chim Onyebilanma, Founder, CAP Studios
Chim Onyebilanma is a multidisciplinary creative, filmmaker, and Christian minister whose work integrates faith, media, and social advocacy across Africa. He is the founder of CAP Studios (Chibi Archives Production) in South Africa and a mission leader with CAPRO MISSIONS, focused on reaching unreached people groups. A former engineer turned cross-cultural missionary, Chim hosts Chim’sTALK Africa on television and radio, offering biblical perspectives on Africa’s socio-political issues. His award-winning films include Wounded and Treasure Hunt, the latter premiering in 2025 and selected for screening at the American Black Film Festival. Widely recognized for social impact, Chim empowers underprivileged youth through media training and champions Pan-African transformation through faith-driven storytelling and action.
Ewoma Luther-Abegunde Film Marketing and Distribution Professional
Ewoma Luther-Abegunde is a seasoned film marketing and distribution professional with over a decade of experience across local and international film industries. She has worked on major global titles including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Fast & Furious, John Wick, No Time to Die, Minions, and several landmark African releases. Ewoma is the Founder of Get Inspired Network and the Kingdom Film Festival (KFF), a platform dedicated to building a thriving community for Christian filmmakers. She currently serves as Community Engagement Manager and Grassroots Program Director for The Chosen in Nigeria, leading audience engagement and faith-based initiatives nationwide. A passionate advocate for women and creative empowerment, she is also an alumna of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs and a published author of three books. Through her work, Ewoma continues to bridge mainstream cinema excellence with faith-driven impact and community building.
Joy Odafe — Opening Prayer — Nigeria/USA
Joy Odafe is a storyteller and media executive serving as Executive Officer & Head of Licensing, Sales & Buyer Relations at FilmMerge. In this role, she leads strategic partnerships, content licensing, sales, and buyer engagement, helping connect impactful Christian and family-friendly films with platforms, broadcasters, churches, schools, and institutions.
At MediaSphere Africa, Joy brings valuable experience in content acquisition, licensing, buyer relations, strategic partnerships, and global distribution engagement. Her work is focused on creating meaningful pathways between filmmakers and the organizations seeking quality faith- and family-centered content, helping strong stories reach wider audiences around the world.
Matrid Inyagah — Panelist on Storytelling — Kenya
Matrid Nyagah is an award-winning filmmaker, pastor, and visionary storyteller with over 13 years of experience using film and immersive media to proclaim the Gospel and influence culture for God’s Kingdom. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fearless Films, with acclaimed works including Watu Wote, Softie, Where the River Divides, and the VR experience In My Head.
Beyond filmmaking, Matrid is a mentor, author, and consultant who is deeply committed to discipling creatives through faith, excellence, and integrity. She is a founding member of the African Christian Visual Media Network and the Founder and Director of the Creatives Discipleship Global Movement. At MediaSphere Africa, she brings a powerful combination of storytelling expertise, spiritual leadership, mentorship, creative discipleship, and a deep commitment to raising African creatives who can influence culture while remaining rooted in Christ. Through every project and platform, Matrid remains focused on glorifying God, impacting lives, and making Jesus known through powerful storytelling.
Dare Jeremiah — Keynote Speaker — Nigeria/Australia
Dare Jeremiah is a Chartered Engineer, international business leader, keynote speaker, pastor, and ministry executive with over 20 years of experience in the global oil and gas industry. His expertise spans complex subsea and pipeline systems, with project experience across Australia Pacific, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the North Sea, and West Africa. He is the CEO of FEDDO GROUP, an international oil and gas engineering company headquartered in Perth, Australia, and has received extensive academic and leadership training from institutions in Nigeria, Australia, the United States, Denmark, and Italy.
Beyond engineering and business, Dare is deeply committed to leadership development, mentorship, ministry, and Kingdom advancement. He serves as the Executive Director of Mount Zion Eagles on Mission, the International Coordinator and Secretary of the International Advisory Board of MZIAIF, and the Senior Pastor of RCCG Shalom Assembly, Perth, Australia. At MediaSphere Africa, he brings a strong blend of global leadership, organizational development, professional excellence, mentorship, and faith-driven vision.
Felix Bankole — Panel Host — Nigeria
Felix Bankole is a highly accomplished Nigerian playwright, film director, media producer, Christian drama minister, and educator with over two decades of experience in faith-based storytelling and media evangelism. He is the Founding President of the Africa Fellowship of Evangelical Drama Ministers and Filmmakers (AFEDRAM) and the Founder and Director of Vision Film Academy (ViFA) in Abuja, where he trains emerging creatives in screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and film production. His work spans more than 70 productions in over 20 languages across 19 countries, with projects such as The Macedonian Call, Samari, The Legal Wife, Displaced, and The Traditionalist. He also contributes to formal film and media education through the University of Abuja and is actively involved in humanitarian outreach and creative training initiatives across Africa.
At MediaSphere Africa, Felix brings extensive experience in film production, creative education, pan-African ministry networks, capacity building, and cross-border storytelling. His deep involvement in developing filmmakers across multiple African countries gives him a valuable perspective on how stronger institutions, technology, collaboration, and professional training can accelerate the growth of Africa’s faith-based creative ecosystem. As host of the AfroTech discussion, he helps connect the practical realities of filmmaking with emerging opportunities in AI, digital streaming, distribution, and storytelling.
Ava (Aser Seifu) Kassaye — Panelist — Ethiopia
Aser Seifu (Ava) is an Ethiopian film producer and educator who graduated from film school in 2015. He is the founder and visionary behind a growing pan-African network of film and media professionals, launched in July 2024 to connect brothers and sisters working across the creative industries throughout Africa.
Passionate about networking, collaboration, and long-term industry development, Aser is committed to building stronger institutions and sustainable organizational structures for the visual arts across the continent. At MediaSphere Africa, he brings a valuable perspective on continental networking, institution building, creative collaboration, and the development of stronger professional ecosystems for African filmmakers and media practitioners.
Bright Wonder — Panelist; MediaSphere Africa 2.0 Awareness and Vote of Thanks — Nigeria
Bright Wonder Obasi is a seasoned film and television writer, producer, director, and film festival curator with over two decades of experience in faith-based and socially impactful storytelling. He is the Founder and CEO of High Definition Film Studio and Academy, where he has produced and directed award-winning films including Chains, If I Am President, and Broken.
Bright also serves as the Executive Director of Films For Impact Foundation and Festival, where he mentors and supports filmmakers committed to using film as a tool for societal transformation. As the Founder and President of Gospel Cinema International, he leads a global Christian film ministry focused on motion picture evangelism across multiple platforms.
At MediaSphere Africa, Bright brings a distinctive blend of creative excellence, filmmaker development, festival leadership, strategic thinking, social impact, and kingdom-driven vision. His multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, behavioral insight, and filmmaking strengthens his ability to help shape conversations around how African Christian creatives can build sustainable platforms, tell transformative stories, and expand their influence globally.
Dennis O’Nen — Panelist — Uganda
Dennis Onen is an award-winning Ugandan filmmaker, producer, educator, and a Board Member of ACVMN, committed to advancing storytelling and strengthening the film industry across Africa. With a strong passion for both production and training, he has dedicated his career to equipping emerging filmmakers with practical skills, creative confidence, and a clearer vision for sustainable careers in media.
At MediaSphere Africa, Dennis brings valuable experience in filmmaking, mentorship, industry development, and capacity building, contributing a practical East African perspective on how stronger networks, training, and collaboration can help African creatives grow and compete on a global stage.
Victoria Rosiji — Partner and Sponsorship Engagement — Nigeria/UK
Victoria Oluwarantimi Rosiji (née Oladele-Ojo) is a British-Nigerian gospel singer, filmmaker, scriptwriter, producer, youth mentor, and visionary leader passionate about raising purpose-driven children and young people through faith, creativity, education, and leadership. She is the Visioneer of AGD CONGLOMERATES CIC, a faith-based organisation committed to helping children and young people discover their God-given potential through Christian media, creative arts, leadership development, and practical life skills. She is also the Co-Founder of King’s Delight Excellence Schooland has written and produced Christian songs, stage dramas, and faith-based films that communicate biblical values and inspire lives.
Victoria also serves in Christian media and digital evangelism, including as Social Media Lead for IAEDM and MZIAIF ICFF, helping promote global Christian film initiatives and ministry engagement. At MediaSphere Africa, she brings a strong blend of media communication, social media strategy, youth development, creative ministry, community engagement, and partnership building. Her passion for empowering the next generation and using media as a tool for Kingdom impact makes her a valuable voice in helping MediaSphere Africa build meaningful relationships, strengthen visibility, and inspire emerging creatives across the continent and beyond.
Amos Akinwumi Alikama — Panelist on Artificial Intelligence — Nigeria
Amos Akinwumi Alikama is an educator, mentor, and the Founder of Aldaw Academy in The Gambia, with a passion for empowering individuals through practical learning, mentorship, and skills development. He is committed to equipping the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to create meaningful impact in their communities. At MediaSphere Africa, Amos brings valuable insight into education, innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and capacity building, helping explore how emerging technologies can be used to strengthen creativity, learning, and opportunities for young people across Africa.
Teniola Zara King — Panelist on Digital Streaming — Nigeria
Teniola Zara King is a Nigerian British writer and director who builds bridges between stories and communities through work that is both culturally specific and globally resonant. Recognised as One to Watch by The Islander, she is committed to ensuring Nigerian and African narratives are told with authenticity and entertainment value. Trained at the London Film School, she graduated as a writer and director. Her short film Teju’s Tale premiered on Sky Arts and went on to receive strong festival attention. She shadow-directed on Netflix’s Who Is Erin Carter? in Barcelona and Sky’s The Midwich Cuckoos, experiences that sharpened her craft on large-scale international productions. Her latest feature film, The Wait, is a Christian feature inspired by a modern-day retelling of Mary and Joseph, and it is currently on the festival circuit. Teniola is the Content Executive at House of Faith, where she champions African faith-based stories made with excellence and built for global platforms. Alongside her creative work, she leads masterclasses and mentors emerging filmmakers, investing in the next generation and helping push faith-based storytelling further into the mainstream conversation.

Bernice Botchway — Anchor — Ghana
Bernice Kafui Ama Botchway is a seasoned Ghanaian public servant, Christian leader, creative arts practitioner, and transformational speaker with over 22 years of professional experience in Ghana’s mining sector. She currently serves as Principal Officer for Gender and International Affairs at the Minerals Commission of Ghana, contributing to policy development, stakeholder engagement, gender mainstreaming, and international cooperation. She is also the Founder and President of Glorious Life Missions Incorporated (GLM), a faith-based creative ministry that uses film, drama, media, discipleship, and leadership training to advance the Gospel, and serves as President of the Ghana Drama Ministers Association (GDMA), providing strategic leadership to strengthen Christian drama ministry and creative collaboration across Ghana.
At MediaSphere Africa, Bernice brings a distinctive combination of strategic leadership, public-sector experience, Christian media ministry, creative arts, gender advocacy, mentorship, and cross-sector partnership building. Her experience connecting professional leadership with faith-based creativity positions her to help strengthen MediaSphere Africa’s vision for collaboration across countries, organizations, and creative communities. As an Anchor representing Ghana, she brings a strong West African voice to the platform and a passion for empowering women and young people, developing Christian creatives, and using media and storytelling to advance positive social and Kingdom transformation.
Tosin Folorunsho — Video Production Lead — Nigeria
Folorunso John Tosin is the Chief Technical Officer at Film Merge, where he leads technology strategy, platform architecture, and digital systems supporting the company’s mission to connect Christian and family-friendly films with global distribution opportunities. With over 15 years of experience across media production, post-production, broadcast operations, media management, and digital workflow, he brings a strong blend of technical leadership and practical creative-industry understanding.
His background includes long-standing service with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, where he developed valuable experience in media operations, administration, and production workflow. At Film Merge, Tosin focuses on building a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly digital platform for filmmakers, internal teams, buyers, and distribution partners, using technology to simplify processes, strengthen presentation, and create the infrastructure needed for sustainable growth and professional content distribution.
Emmanuel Awoke — Graphic Design and Consulting Lead — Nigeria
Emmanuel Awoke, also known as Nuellthebeacon, is a Creative Graphic Artist, Visual Storyteller, and the CEO of Beacon Media Developer, a creative media brand focused on visual design and digital content solutions. He has hands-on experience producing engaging content for brands, ministries, organizations, and digital platforms, with expertise spanning branding, social media content, flyer design, video editing, promotional visuals, and AI-assisted creative production.
Beyond design, Emmanuel is passionate about education, mentorship, excellence, and helping creatives understand visual communication as more than just software usage. His practical, impact-driven approach encourages individuals to explore, grow, and communicate ideas boldly through creative media. His work is deeply influenced by his faith, love for technology, and commitment to using visual storytelling as a tool for inspiration, learning, and meaningful impact.
Victor Otegbade
Victor Otegbade is a passionate drama minister, filmmaker, video editor, actor, content creator, and educator with extensive experience in Christian drama and film production. A graduate of the University of Lagos, he also holds a Basic Certificate in Christian Drama and a Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Arts (Christian Drama) from the Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama in affiliation with Redeemer’s University. As a video editor with Mount Zion Films Production Nigeria, Victor has worked on numerous Christian film productions, including Recitation, My Dream, The Cruise, Waiting Wars, Under Siege: The Musical, Abejoye, and the popular series Abattoir, on which he served as a co-editor. His editing work on Under Siege: The Musical earned him a Best Editing Award at the 2025 GFN Conference.
Victor also serves as an administrator and lecturer at the Mount Zion Film Academy, contributing to the training of thousands of participants in the technical aspects of filmmaking and content creation. As the creative force behind the Victor and Otegz Shows, he combines humor, faith, and creativity to communicate transformational messages and uses social media as a tool for revival and Kingdom impact. At MediaSphere Africa, Victor brings valuable expertise in post-production, video editing, filmmaking, creative education, content creation, and digital media engagement, along with a passion for equipping the next generation of African Christian creatives to combine technical excellence with purposeful, faith-driven storytelling.
